Hey y'all! I've had uberstudent for a few days now, and It's been working fine. I tried to install two apps today: wine and steam. Whether I went through the terminal or trying to extract the file, it wouldn't work.

Whenever I tried to update form the terminal (by typing sudo apt-get update) it gave me this message:

W: Failed to fetch http://uberstudent.net/dists/heraclitus ... elease.gpg Unable to connect to uberstudent.net:http:

W: Failed to fetch http://uberstudent.net/dists/epicurus/Release.gpg Unable to connect to uberstudent.net:http:

W: Failed to fetch http://uberstudent.net/dists/socrates/Release.gpg Unable to connect to uberstudent.net:http:

W: Failed to fetch http://uberstudent.net/dists/trusty/Release.gpg Unable to connect to uberstudent.net:http:

W: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?

Whenever I tried to update from the update manager, it gave me this message:

W: Failed to fetch http://uberstudent.net/pool/main/s/stea ... t1_all.deb
Could not connect to uberstudent.net:80 (69.164.220.166), connection timed out.

and when I try to install wine, I get this error message

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I hope to have this fixed tomorrow, certainly by this Friday morning. This does not affect the security or usability of your system until then.

Stephen, Synaptic package manager is only showing installed programs. Update manager does not run through the process either. I will reboot and see if that does anything.

reboot did not resolve anything. Update manager only finds (3) launchpad sites/ then states up to date.

Run Software System Fixer from your System menu.
