Use Chromium with uberstudent-restricted-extras installed or Google Chrome. Those are the only options in Linux.

It is possible that because Flash is not enabled to run automatically, your particular content is hanging. Once you've enabled flash content to play automatically, any flash content should play without issue, unless the issue is with the provider of the content. If the below steps do not resolve the issue, then the only possible issue left is with the content provider.

-----------------------------

Google Chrome, if you have the latest version installed, should contain the latest Adobe Flash by default. It is possible it is not enabled to run automatically, so your content is hanging. To enable:

1. Paste this into the addess bar in Google Chrome and hit Enter on your keyboard:
Code:
chrome://plugins/
2. Tick the box to enable flash content to run automatically

3. Exit and re-open the browser

-----------------------------

For Chromium, you can install the latest flash. To do:

1. Exit Chromium

2. Hit F12 on your keyboard to call Guake terminal

3. Paste in and run
Code:
sudo apt-get install uberstudent-meta-restricted-extras
...and let it complete. Hit F12 again to minimize Guake terminal

4. Paste this into the addess bar in Chromium and hit Enter on your keyboard:
Code:
chrome://plugins/
5. Tick the box to enable flash content to run automatically

6. Exit and re-open the browser
