some time ago I used k3b to burn my data but the DVD isn't read.
It seemed it hasn't been closed. In project->Misc I put Auto in Multisession mode.
Now if I open k3b and click on continue mulltisession mode all the files on DVD are shown but...
when I add a new file, click on burn an the continue multisession or finish multisession it seems to work but few seconds later gives me an error.
I installed k3b on uberstudent from Ubuntu Software Center.

How can I recover my files? Thanks.

Try this:

Go to Applications menu > Accessories > File Utilities > Acetone ISO > Image Conversion > Generate ISO from CD/DVD and try saving the contents to an ISO file. Then, right-click the ISO file and mount the ISO file from the context menu and see if you can use the files in the file manager.

I'm very sorry Stephen, but it does'nt work.
You can't see the DVD in the list of devices in file manager !! Acetone doesn't see the disc becouse it is not in the list of File Manager.
If you run k3b,in the first panel on the left you can see the name of the DVD, my DVD.If you click File > new project > Continue multisession , k3b let's you see all the files that are on DVD.I add a file just to continue. It has been added but as soon as I give the command BURN after 8 seconds k3b encounters an error and stops.
I tried to close the disc with Burn and then the tab Misc > Multisesssion Mode >Finish Multisession but invain.
I tried in Burn>Writing>Create image but...

Your files are probably corrupt beyond recovery.

k3b is not installed be default in UberStudent, and I would probably avoid it.
