hi
how do i know if my entry level creative sound card can is picked up in uberstudent.
the OS detected my Nvidia GT220 and installed the drivers, but after the setup was don i added a sound card because my board did
not have an on board sound card.
i have no idea where to look or to start,
I only have this OS running now for 2 days and is very new to the functions
psl help

The fundamental question: do you have sound?

Did you have sound "out of the box," without you doing anything but merely installing UberStudent or even just running it live from the disc?

If any of those is (or was before you made changes) true, your sound card is natively supported.

not sure if the card works,
the motherboard is newly replaced and it do not have a sound card on, then after the installation of uberstudent ,i installed the sound-card, im am going to try another sound-card today.

i have installed another sound card, this time a Cmedia. this one is a working car, that was removed from a pc running win7.
I can see the card is picked up in system profiler and bench mark,
and i also see it in the sound properties,
but still no sound form device

Have you installed codecs at the UberStudent Welcome Screen?

If you run the live UberStudent disc, if you download this sound file, does it play?
